Hi y'all! Thank you for being apart of our journey as we learn and grow as homesteaders. Our accidental homestead turned into a passion of mine to share with the community.
We like to do live in flips as investment strategies and this was our first home that had some land. So I called Clark County to see what the land is zoned for, well... because I am a curious cat, they said this home is zoned for 2 live stock and 20 chickens.
So Scottie buys me 4 chickens for our anniversary last year. The rest is history. My obsession with chickens went bananas that led to adding a turkey, peacocks, and now a mini Highpark and a mini horse <--- still looking for a mini horse, but we potentially found one. So once we get our cow, we're going to see if it'll do well together before we make the purchase on the mini horse.
So much to learn and I am taking you all along the journey. :)
*Attached is a current pic (July 2024) of our backyard that will be transformed for our mini cow/horse. We have a month and a half to get the bullpen ready. Wish us luck during this heat wave. Eeeeks!
